Had a call from "Sigma Advice Company" who had received a report of my car accident. I asked where that report came from and was told "road traffic and accident department". Neither Road Traffic and Accident Department nor Sigma Advice Company exist. Fake number which came up on my phone was 0208 041 0778

Had this as a missed call n my mobile. Called back on my land line as it is withheld. Really bad line but an American man called Jermaine said that they were from the Department of Budget and Spending. Said I d never heard of them and asked how they got my number. First he said my telephone provider and when I told him that was nonsense he then said from the Consumer Ombudsman, again I said what nonsense and Jermaine said he would remove my number from their records immediately. An old lady saying something like "Just to let you know, line dropped out". Happened several times just the same. I guess I m supposed to ring back and see what this sweet old lady wants. Presumably this is harvesting actively used telephone numbers.
