12 past 1 in the afternoon they called for the 5th time in 2 days to offer me contents insurance.
TAXES / HMRCOne of the most common and probably one of the most stressful scams! The call consists of a pre-recorded message saying you are under investigation for tax evasion and if you do not press one and talk to the representative an arrest warrant will be issued (this is a general brief of the script – it reappears with slight variations from time to time). Answered to be told that they were calling regarding our Government funded insulation. Told him not us and line went dead. Not had insulation installed. Never heard of these people. SCAM?
