We claim you gain has been ringing a business no. up to 4 times a day with a recorded message for ppi - several times I have pressed 1 so I could speak to someone who could take the company of their list. 3 times I have been assured this will happen. Today after 4 calls I did the same, asked them who they were - yet again "we claim you gain" - told the gentleman my problem yet again and he threw the phone down... How can we get this stopped... would appreciate all answers - the switchboard does not let me

UK area code 01237 is Bideford in Devon. Nowhere near London!
I'm getting a number of 01618 14NNNN calls, and guess what - they ring off without leaving a message. I'm now blocking them.
This person poses as charming, religious, sincere & completely trustworthy, but unless he has completely changed, ladies beware. He suddenly changed, disappeared without trace & I had a complete nervous breakdown.

Looks like a purchased London number. Judging by number of searches on various sites must be a spam / harassment call. As other say u can t call it back must rank as dangerous . I have blocked them. So should you. Ofcom if you are really out there doing anything get your act together and sort out the telecoms industry. Poor service and continuing escalation of phone scams only serves to prove laws currently in place are useless but then so is Ofcom!!
