Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17929179xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI / insurance mareting / energy schemes. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
It's definitely the London Mint office. I made the BIG mistake of answering and saying I might be interested in buying a special coin they were trying to sell me until the woman more or less demanded I pay £800 there and then. Needless to say I told her to do one and hung up. However they have called me 3-4 times a day sinse, I answered once and told them to take my details off there system then blocked there number. Got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft. Sounded dodgy with a fake accent. Just googled and found out this. Thanks and I did hang up too!
