Allegedly Automated phone call from Amazon saying maybe charged unless I PRESS 1 etc. Seems like a phishing scam
Not sure about this number - a lady called Jo has just phoned me about energy conservation and need to check my loft insulation to. I am quite concerned as a surveyor is going to ring me to make an appointment to come and inspect the insulation. Have checked the number it’s from Peterborough! Won’t be letting anyone in my house.

Fraud
01238463553 showed for the second of two calls within an hour which had the same computer generated voice telling me that my Amazon prime account was overdue. The first call came up as number unavailable. Both calls said that 39.99 (thirty nine point nine nine) would need to be taken from my bank account in order for me to continue to enjoy my Amazon Prime account and that I was to press one to speak to someone so I could pay it. Obviously a scam, even the cost of the subscription is incorrect

Purportedly from BT, automated message threatening to cut off my landline and broadband... press 1 to speak to an operative. Pressed 1, foreign lady obviously reading from a script... "...so we're going to switch off your landline and broadband, is that OK...?" when I said "No, not really!" she hung up...??

Apparently my MS Windows needs a manual update. Odd that I only use Mac.
