Fraud - pre-recorded message claiming my NI number and bank account had been suspended and I was under investigation. I ended the call at that point, so don’t know how it would have continued. Have classified as dangerous as could cause worry and upset and I suspect would have gone on to request personal details or a call back/link to dodgy website

had a call from 01395873349 at 10.34am today 09/10/2015 to my land line. Answered it as coincidently it IS our area code. Female voice asked for me by name, although I did not say who I was she went on to say, 'its about the accident you had'!! Unfortunately as I was busy I just hung up and called it back, instead of it ringing out it just played music without any dialling tone so hung up.

Seems to be some call centre from areas of Hull, Yorks - more similar numbers called me from this region, all the same 01482 293 5xx range. They left no message and I don't call back numbers I don't recognize, no idea what company is behind it. People did someone answer this number?

18 Nov 2021 - Called 18/11/21, claimed to be calling from “uk whitegoods”, which I know is a spares supplier in Scotland. Wanted me to renew washing machine warranty, which he said must have run out by now. Don’t know how he would know that. I told him I’d just taken out cover with home insurance, I then put the phone down. I consider this to be a SCAM, I’m sure they would take your money and you would get nothing in return. Reply

As with all unsolicited calls to my mobile, I press "answer" without saying anything, then put my handset to one side until the caller tires of not getting a response. It usually takes a maximum of 47 seconds, but this caller was either very determined or very slow at getting the message that I wasn t reslonding vecause it was 1 minute 12 seconds before they finally took the hint and hung up. I could hear a female voice speaking during this time but couldn t make out what they were saying, nor did I care
