Searched Google and found they are being looked into by the FCA as they are unlicensed and are trying to sell services or products with out being registered. This number (with slight variations on the last three digits) has called four times in less than 24 hours. Did not pick up, did not recognise the number but did find that, although the number comes up as United Kingdom, the number(s) are landline in Pskov, Russia. VERY SUSPICIOUS

Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

They claim to be a company that blocks unwanted marketing calls then they ask for your bank card details saying they want to deposit compensation payment into your account
Caller hung up as soon as I answered.
Called me and implied that they were operating on behalf of my estate agent and this was the 'next step' in the purchase of my new property. Tried to get my address details claiming that it was all part of 'data protection' - when I said 'heck no - I'm not giving you any details' then they doubled down on the the claim that they were operating on behalf of my estate. Very upsetting.
