This phone called me to press 1 concerning a fraud in my tax.

Three phone calls from this number. Heavy accent hard to understand. Claims to be doing an important energy survey and that number will be removed from list afterwards. Refused to give company name when asked and repeated it was important survey and they needed my gas/electric details. Becomes rude and aggressive when you ask questions.

Scam call claiming that I had been in an accident. Refused to confirm their identity. Have blocked the number and reported the call to the ICO.

This company is very aggressive and uses several tactics purporting to be an energy supplier or meter registration dept. They are energy consultants without qualms and trying to scare end users into agreeing a contract over the phone by saying that they are on extortionate out of contract rates, etc. Best way to deal with these people is to say you have signed a long-term contract and therefore not interested in their services. The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from.
