Asked him where he got details - said from database but could not say what. Told him should at the minimum his company should be vetting against telephone preference service. Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. Probably a scam and I have blocked the number now

I have just received a phone call on my home phone from this number. a voice (American i think) informed me they were from Amazon and that my payment of £39.99 would be taken . If I wanted to stop payment I would have to press a number on my phione keypad. I disconnected immediately and looked up the number on Google and came to this site.
