I was called today from this number... someone called Jacob from a company called CRA. He says I owed £896 to HMRC and there was a warrant out for my arrest! I've contact the HMRC and it is a scam. Don't pick up or call.
Call from a telephone blocking service. He asked if I received nuisance calls. I said yes plenty but he didn t understand the irony and pressed on with his script. I asked where he was based. He said 70 Margaret Street London which is the HQ of the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) (Note that the caller was NOT from the TPS). I asked him the name of the nearest underground station at which point he terminated the call.
