A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. call from bank security department to say large payemnts made to my card... odd as they do not know which bank they are from when i asked them!
Scam, they are calling using numbers from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and using Mobiles. If you call them out on it they instantly hang up. I've had the same man on the phone 8 times now using different numbers.

Txt message saying from British gas asking for meter reads. Not sure if it's a scam but safer to log onto your British gas account and submit your meter reads there. Normally companies like this would not use a mobile number and it would show as British gas and not the actual number
