Dodgy guy claimed to be ringing from anti crime organisation in London. When asked why it was a Manchester number on caller identifier he stated that it really was London (!) but I could call 08000969345 to verify who he was. Googled that number but that turned out to be a taxi firm in Manchester. Really.... how stupid do they think we are?

Have received several phone calls over the last few days and each time i answer there is no one on the other end of the line then the line goes dead without anyone speaking to me or acknowledging my answering.
Caller said he was from Sky (my ISP) and the call was about internet connection. There is no reason for Sky to call me from Birmingham, and certainly not with a long delay after I had answered the phone, and definitely not with a strong non-British accent.
