I answered this caller the second time they rang in one day. It was a guy from Liverpool who thought he was quite clever. Just sounded thick. Said he was from Anchor Solicitors. Wanted to claim something or other for me. I told him he was barking up the wrong tree, so he said he would go and bark up someone else s tree. Lol. What an idiot.

They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. I had a email apparently from Meta (Facebook) to say this number (07956836341) had been added to my Facebook account and with a link to report this if it wasn’t me who added the number. The date on the email was wrong (Friday 6th June 2023 doesn’t exist). The link asked for my FB password so I didn’t continue. I checked my FB security details and no number had been added. It looks as though this is a scam to try to access FB passwords.
