Amazon scam from Asian call centre. Supposed fraudulent transaction on my Amazon account. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.
Another site shows calls started from this number on 5th March 2023 & users have searched this number several hundred times by 14:00 hrs on 6th March !!!! Rang off before I could answer!!?? An experience shared by many others checking this Robocall/Scam Call Centre number.

I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.

How this has been given a safe rating is beyond me!! Claim they are from O2 and send a code and then ask for it. They will then proceed to send you a phone by mistake and ring you back in a panic and say they sent it to you by mistake and can you send it back to them. Just hang up!!

mtexcoin - scam
someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

SCAM!! Leasing Airbnb properties (advertised on FB marketplace) that do not exist!! Cleverly they've linked their web page up to Airbnb's page so when you look for support, it will take you to the legit page, but the booking page is a complete scam! It'll reject your payment when you confirm your booking and offer you the option to do a wire transfer. The scammer will give you "Airbnb's bank details" (confirmed by an agent, Airbnb do NOT have a bank account) to place your deposit into.

I received the call from this Vietnam number at 8am on a Sunday. By the time I got to my phone they had rung off without leaving a message. I had requested a cash offer for my house from Go Move and wondered if it was them. I checked with Who Called Me and discovered that it was a Vietnamese number which has over 1000 checks and one7/10 review saying it was a government message thanking them for their coronaviru efforts. This is a removals company I used to move that scammed me over £1000. They operate under the names Riight Moves Removals and previously Royale Removals, the owner being Sat Singh.
