Continued the call to confront whoever initiated the call, and it follows through to an Indian call centre purporting to be HMRC. Do not give any details to these scammers!

Untrustworthy scale - 10! Computer scam! Have been called at least five times in as many days. Different person each time (one time a woman, the rest were men). Some VERY aggressive. This number (01733 347007) is from a scammer. The guy claims to be from the fraud department of my bank and someone tried to change my bank account address but couldn't pass the security check. Hence his call to notify me. He knows my name, address, phone number and the bank that I have an account. I only caught it as I asked him about the phone number that he was calling from. I said I will call the bank directly, then he starts swearing, etc. Be aware of the criminals.

He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money.
