Received call this morning. It rang 4 time then off. Message left supposedly from Amazon. Number shown as being from Leicester. Suspect it is a scam.

Male with indian accent claiming to be from BT but I'm not with them for my Internet! I hung up. I often will not answer but it was showing a local dialing code. Is this a clever way to gain your confidence or was it genuine? I'm not willing to take the risk.

Fraud - Asian call centre - saying suspicious activity had been found on my Virgin media broadband.
They came up as on my phone as "Netring" with a red flag by it.. I didn't answer... (never do if unknown/unexpected) So I googled "Netring" and the phone number correlates.. https://netring.co.uk/pages/support/ I'd say more marketing but to what end?? Steer clear.

I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. Automated voice says this is a bank alert, there have been two charges on your card , it then gives the details of the ‘transactions’ one supposedly for £200+ on Amazon, the other a bank transfer for over £1000. Then asked to press one or two depending on whether you have made these payments or not.
