When I picked up the phone I was told I was being called as I had had an accident. It wouldn't have been me anyway as I had answered my wife's mobile phone !! I asked who the company who the company was... I had an answer mumbled back at me... Then asked whether I would like to discuss the accident - I asked who had asked that the company call me.... and the caller hung up ! Technique - asked them a question, every time they ask you one !!

Fraud HSBC saying an attempt to pay money into account was attempted from a different device, I don't have a bank account with this bank.

Claimed he's calling from a government runned company and going to help me apply for an increase on child benefit and wanted to verify personal details. When I told him I'm not comfortable sharing these details he hung up on me.

Called by this number - called back - went straight to music (no ring) and music continued for several minutes but never answered - hung up.

Asked for me by name, appears as local number but isn't. Said they were ringing about my recent accident when I told her I hadn't had an accident she asked me if I was sure! I told her to take my details off their database with no real hope they won't ring again #w*rs

Just made a payment via login to my Vanquis account. Payment made and showing Authorised. BUT after a few mins, here's/following message was being received. 'Your payment has been declined. For security, can you reply with your date of birth?' I'm very much doubted. then immediately checked my paying card's bank account, payment had taken and left from that account. Finally she/he starts showing you the profits (Mind Boggling Profits) made in Trading and says she/he wants to help you and trys to take money out of you. Asked for me by name but wouldn't tell me who they were and why they were calling unless I confirmed my name which I didn't want to do. Caller was quite rude. They eventually hung up after I kept asking why they wanted to speak to me.
