The female caller from this number asked to speak to my wife by name. When I asked who was calling, she replied with the company name, which I didn t catch, and that it was in connection with our washing machine warranty. Our machine is about 14 years old, so the warranty ran out years ago! Number now blocked.

Even though I m TPS registered I keep getting calls (often many times a day) from the same company leaving the message "Everyone now also qualifies for solar panels and external wall insulation. We are UK based and government approved, so press 2 now to speak to an adviser for free." Not always from the same number but always the same message. Had a phone call from them and they seemed to know some of my personal details (well, as far as my phone number, name and 1st line of my address). I asked them who they were and got the response AAC and nothing more than that. The guy was very evasive and when I asked what the call was regarding was just told it was "sensitive information". I told him he had the wrong number and I hung up. I was involved in a car accident about a year ago so they may well have been ringing about that.

I have an answering machine so don t pick up if I don t know the number but I am aware of these numbers from sites like yours. They are a nuisance and need to be stopped but I can t see who will have the balls to do this. As this comes through on the business line it gets very annoying but have also had a few on the private line and this number is not given out except to friends. Get a grip ofcom!!
