They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.

calling in relation to "an old PPI claim" - even had my first name!

On checking with O2 the above number and caller WAS a genuine call from O2. Apologies O2.

I received a call saying I had won a photoshoot worth ?250 for myself and a friend. I never enter these sort of competitions so was suspicious. The lady tried to get me to make a booking but said I could change it at a later date if needed. I refused to commit and said I needed more time. She offered to ring back after the weekend but stressed that there may not be any more places left!

Debt collector. Had been receiving calls daily. Finally answered and they asked for my address and dob! Hung up and did research on the company. Called them back as I didn t think I had any debts. Gave them my details, but they had my old address. Confirmed that. Asked for a woman that doesnt live here so explained they must have wrong number. The caller said no matter, are a home owner then? I said irrelevent if I was seeing as they have not contacted me by name so not interested and hung up. Her phone manner was unprofessional and I suspect just dialling random numbers cold calling

I received a call from this number this afternoon but no voicemail was left so I didn t know who called. I later received a call from 01702454081, which seemed a coincidence. This was from Insure and Go. They were following up an online quote for travel insurance so it was really not entirely a cold call .

Another cold call to a pensioner who by the time they got there and answered caller had gone!!!
