SCAM Only one person calls me on my landlinge and that's my brother but somehow it seems to have been circulated to scammers and/or on the dark web. This number called on my landline (getting lots from lots of false numbers for months now) and it was a silent call. I called it from my mobile (number withheld) and it wasn't a recognised number. Has to be dangerous!
Feel a bit uneasy about this number. Stated as being in Rochdale yet caller said was calling from Colchester.
I received a random unsolicited message on WhatsApp from this number. It is a business account. The message was "Hello, how are you doing today? I have reported and blocked this number.

Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. SCAM. Sent an email saying O had an unsecured loan for £5k approved that I applied for on Money Supermarket and to call the number. I didn’t apply for a loan so I knew this was icky. I also googled the email address that the email came from and nothing existed. Be very wary of this number.

I asked which database and she said "her job was only to offer an extension to my washing machine guarantee". As I have no such thing anyway, it was easy to know it was a scam. I wish I had discovered this website earlier. Adam, the person who has this number has ghosted me twice. He has lied to me as well, pretending he was single when he wasn't. Details are irrelevant and the fact that his number has been searched over 360 times says a lot. Avoid at all costs.

HMRC SCAM: left a voicemail with a robot voice saying: "HMRC documentation department. Legal actions will be initiated against you shortly. Please press 1 to speak to our officer." This is such an obvious scam, please please REPORT anywhere you can, including HMRC themselves.
