Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. It's not difficult to change the brushes on the motor or to unblock the filter

(Doesn’t even say positive for what) Fools! I attempted to look up the web address on my iPad and it came up as non existent. Presumably they would have tried to make me pay for them.

Just called my mobile - auto voice telling me HMRC have a returned letter and legal proceedings are about to start, press 1 to speak to someone - OF COURSE I hung up - clearly a scam!!

Call from Amazon. Told to go online and check emails because somebody was taking £700 from my account. I said no and rang off. Called again wanting to know why I rang off and to get on the computer. I said no again but wouldn't take no for an answer I asked why not using Amazon number it was because it was a security number. Told unless I did as asked, payment would go ahead. 01997 617229 called me around 4:30PM on 21 March 2023. A guy with an Indian accept was speaking, but hung-up after about 5 seconds. If you call back, it says "welcome to Farn Mart", but none of the options in the menu connect you to anyone.
