I was contacted regarding a Sapphire Magazine subscription following completion of a survey. This number, based in Cardiff. Very plausible female. I foolishly gave them my debit card number. Man claimed to be from Microsoft and knew my name. Asked if I had a computer. As I did not answer and just kept asking him how he got our number (we are registered with TPS) he said it was from publicly available sources! He then said as I was not cooperating he would cut me off straight away. Extremely concerning due to his bullying attitude and tendency to answer back rather than ending the call as most of them do.

I got an email asking me to ring this number regarding an overpayment on a car insurance policy from 2014. Thinking that it might be a scam I went online to find the customer services number for the company and rang them on that number not 0330 100 7303. Believe it is Scottish & Southern Electric regarding a planned power cut, but as mentioned in other posts, the female voice is garbled and sounds more like a cold / nuisance call rather than a national utility company.
You could get some fake emails but the phone number is genuine!
Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17734052xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with debt management - financial services, but also insurance marketing - accident chasers.
