SCAM. Purported to be from Carphone warehouse - claimed to be 'work with all major networks' to offer phone upgrade at up to 40% off. Ha. Couldn't tell me which network I was with, so probably trying to scam me.

RECEIVED A SILENT PHONE CALL THIS MORNING 23 OCT 2019 - WANTED TO REPORT IT TO BT BUT HAD TO FIND OUT IF IT WAS A SCAM PHONE CALL FIRST. OTHERWISE I COULD BE PREVENTING GENUINE CALLERS FROM USING THEIR PHONES. This number called my 93-year old mother-in-law at about 07:45 hrs. She told them that she couldn’t hear them. They called her back a couple of times, and tried to get her to do something on her iPad. She said she’d have to get her son-in-law to call them as she didn’t understand them. They haven’t called again since. Incident reported to local police as a vulnerable person is being targeted. This number has now been reported to BT security who have blocked it nationwide.
