SCAM. It was an automated call with a blokes voice saying it was Sandra from Amazon calling about suspicious account activity and giving me an option of buttons to press to confirm activity or speak to someone.
An automated call but it tries to sound real by responding to your questions. Was trying to sell life insurance/funeral cover. Most likely a scam of some sort.

Black Apples....Rotten apples is more like it....I didn t realize people in the UK were getting spammed by india staffing companies as well...Its a serious epidemic in the US these days...I ve got a list a mile long of india staffing companies that are aggressive as hell cold calling and lining people up with fake jobs that they cut you as fast as possible and underpay you as low as possible.... personally, i think its all tied with some type of india visa fraud... Man called - said his name was Sean Cruz - said he was from the Citizens Advice - got my details from the Office of Fair Trading. Said his address was 24 Lancashire!! I pressed him more, said his address was 24 Heather Ave, Lancashire, 208 001 Tried to get details out of me, I would not confirm anything. Told him I was registered with TPS and he should not be calling. He told me he s been getting away with these calls for years and TPS were useless. i dont know if this company is fake or what. kept calling me offering natural gas. what s that, i dont need that! how did you get my number!
kept ringing, hung up. its a computer calling many homes at once, and when you pick up, if they have staff available they will talk. if no staff, the call hangs up and calls another 100+ homes. very annoying. if not a scam, probably selling junk or ppi that you wouldnt have bought otherwise. AVOID

Government ‘type’ Recorded message. Caller was a man and speaking in a very English urgent alarming voice. Informing me of multiple fraudulent use of my National Insurance number ant that unless I pressed option 1 now proceedings could be taken against me also with cancelling my access to my accounts etc.. or something along those lines. Luckily I took the call on my iPad so wasn’t able to press option 1. Which is just as well as I tried to thinking it was genuine at the time. It would frighten many.
