SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.

Didn't answer them, they left no voicemail. I've been applying for loads of jobs recently so I assume it's either a call centre regarding that, or my numbers been sold on. I see it's calling all over the UK so I'm assuming it's a telemarketer. I'm located near Edinburgh. Number doesn't match a company or business on Google or facebook ????

He told me that I had unresolved debts, which I challenged and said I didn t, I asked him where he had got my number from and he mentioned Debt Resolution Services. I was looking for an upgrade with my current network bt, And this caller for some unknown reason new this information, how i have no idea, tried to con me into taking a sim only contract, then get any phone of my choice after 3 months, be very careful don t be scammed by these tactics, very untrustworthy way to do business, how they got my information is a bit scary as only family members have my number.
