"Two debits to your ???? account, one £300 from Amazon, the other from an overseas authority... both look suspicious, press 1 to approve payment, or 2 to talk to us". Call went to answerphone and hung up. Called the number back and as with several similar calls from other numbers recently, the number was not recognised. Now blocked but it wasn't a legitimate number anyway.
Missed call and when I called back it said inward and hung up.
Tezt message reading: A friendly reminder – your payment didn’t go through correctly. Just log in and update your card details, your account will be back in good standing. Thanks! No idea who it is. Gotta be a scam!

As with most other comments, single ring then hung up. Did not call back. Weird thing was, this call came in on my company mobile, the number for which is only given out to colleagues and a few family members. I ve never used it to sign up for anything so no idea how they got it. Assume auto dialler?

Fraud - claimed to be VirginMedia. Claimed "illegal activity on line". threatened to cut off line. refused to confirm account details. became abusive when challenged.
Endless calls from this company - number is usually withheld. As soon as I ask to be removed from database they hangup. I used to be polite and try to get more information from them but it was an even greater waste of my time. How can we stop these calls - I am already listed with the TPS.

This is a Scam number that calls you and says it is from HMRC. It then asks you to press 1 to connect to a tax office agent or they will send someone around to arrest you!! Laughable really, but please be careful.

These people have called my home several times a day while I have been out at work and keep on calling through the evening. The one time I was home and answered they hung up.
