SCAM Financial investment company that they claim I had asked to be contacted by. However they do not know my actual given name nor do they know my full name. I asked if instead of using the random name I publicly go by if they could confirm my full name and other details but could not. I’ve had several of these “investment companies” calling and fishing for details recently. All have the same “spiel” and follow the same script to their calls, with only the company name having any variations.
Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!

SCAM. Initial silence then a voice saying that like most people in the last 10 to 20 years I probably had fibreglass loft insulation on a government scheme and now had damp and mould. He wanted to arrange a loft survey. I said I had no loft insulation and could check my own loft but he carried on. When I asked, he said he worked for “...the Insulation Advisory Line in Reading.” When I queried who had asked them to undertake a survey the call ended. Called with message about unauthorized payment from my debit card, if it wasn't you press 1. I did out of interest. Spoke with a man with Indian accent. He knew my name and surname which is highly unnerving. He said a payment of £900 and something pounds had been taken from my debit card. I replied "oh no, it wasn't me, can you help me?". He said yes, he needed some information. I asked which bank debit card? He said Amazon then hung up. Seriously!
