This sod rang me at about 7.30 to night. I live in Edinburgh, and I thought it was a taxi company (there is a taxi company in Edinburgh, whose number starts 0131-777), but the bloke, with a very pronounced Asian/Indian accent said that he wanted to talk to my wife to discuss her account with them. As I am the account holder, he was clearly talking bollocks. Strange voicemail from a man with a thick accent (difficult to tell what country) telling me that it was important I called them before they sent officers round to my place of work due to the investigation going on. Zero details. Tried calling the number back and there is no answer. Happy to see there have been a number of queries going on for the same number. I guess it is a scam!

Rock Law calling TPS numbers trying to sell PPI. Call them back and they re very cagey about their company name. Director of Rock Law is a Mr Christopher Ross White - no doubt a fly-by-night scoundrel. If anyone can give me his personal mobile number, i ll pay cash!
All the numbers from this range 020794609xx are used by the same call centre dealing with insurance marketing - car accident. If you say you have had no accident, they mostly hang up the phone and that's it... I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very useful for call centres). No problems.
