Did not answer, didn t recognise number.

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.

Call not allowed by BT call bar telephone - Don't know anyone from that area - scammer?? Number is now blocked.

Man called - said his name was Sean Cruz - said he was from the Citizens Advice - got my details from the Office of Fair Trading. Said his address was 24 Lancashire!! They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable.
