just had a call from this number, they knew my name, but when i asked who they were they hung up on me

Called 4 times yesterday and so far 3 times today. Really annoying me now!! They say they can get you ?3000 in compensation for PPI misspelling. They want to know every personal detail about you. I ve told them not to call again, but that was ignored!

Got a missed call from this number today, thought it may be a friend in the UK but when i rang back it said it was out of service. Anyone know how this is possible? And what is it all about?

An male idiot called me to follow up on a brochure I had ordered. I told him I previously did arrange for a home visit and these planks cancelled it at 2 hours notice citing a broken down car. Didn t answer the call and came here to check the number. Lots of these apparently foreign numbers are actually originating in the UK by using software diallers that mask the caller s true location.As other posters suggest, a good rule of thumb is - if the number looks suspicious it probably is.

PPI Claims company on unauthorised and unwanted tele-marketing campaign for PPI claims. If you say nothing the message does not start to play!

They had the cheek to call me again - when I was busy of course - with their wretched recorded message saying it was not too late. I think they can be prosecuted for this harassment and dishonesty, pretending people have claims when they know nothing about whether they have or not, and be heavily fined. Asian sounding guy, rabbiting at speed about who I was and telling me my details, barely caught a word, then says BT will call to save me money on my Telephone and Broadband, then hung up immediately, never asked was I interested in any possible savings, not even the basic pleasantries of asking how I was etc... Just quick fire rabbit rabbit rabbit, BT will call me, click, all I can say is, if this was anything to do with BT, they are now less likely to be getting my business than they were before.
