Cold callling. Strong Asian accent. Some kind of financial company pretending they ve legitimately obtained my number. I wasn t pleasant.

They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.

Apparently a call blocking company who then attempts to take your bank card details over the phone.. Scam.

We do not answer unknown numbers and ring them back if they leave a message on answering machine. No message left.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. I explain that I am neither of those names and they respond with "you re there, you ll do" and they are a nuisan
