This number called and asked for me by my first name. When I asked who was calling he hung up. I have blocked this number- definitely dodgy if he won’t say who he is and why he is calling.

Had a call from this number today (06/02/2020). I didn t answer, but just sharing what I discovered when attempting to identify the caller. Several directories show this as a number related to a recruitment company named Catch Recruitment. Hope this helps :)

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. So far this evening this number has called 3 times. No conversation at all. It has also called repeatedly over the past month again no conversation on pick up. Sick to death with it.!

SCAM / SPAM - Caller is part of a group targeting the elderly. Male with a strong foreign accent stated his name was 'David' and was calling from the RBS HQ. When challenged where the RBS HQ is located he stuttered and mumbled before hanging up. Please treat this number with caution
It s a company ringing about debts they think you may have had or have and they try to reference your connection to a survey or some search you ve done possibly connected to you looking for the best credit cards available. Very busy call centre with lots of other people in the background so difficult to hear everything.
