This number(01618186978) was given to me 9 days ago by someone who purported to be from BT's online technical team, which was sorting out an issue with my internet line (I'm no longer a BT customer, but they knew that).

Just rung me american female voice telling me that my BT broadband line will be cancelled immediately as it has been compromised from California - at that point I hung up - we are ex directory, registered with Telephone Preference Service and we do not get our broadband from BT either!
