My wonderful BT 6500 stops my phone ringing everytime these fishing scammers call, and they call a lot normally after 8pm. Wish I could give them payback.

Asked for help and paid money for tutoring but got nothing back. Had a call on the day asking for more money and then threatened me with going to my university. I have contacted the fraud and police depts and have emailed him to tell him so! If anybody is blackmailed by him..ignore it...he is unable to do anything as it will only incriminate him further. The more people who report this evil fraud the better. Has anybody been actually able to get any money back from him? Can you contact his bank??

The first time they rang there was call-centre style background noise so I hung up before anyone spoke. Calling later in the day, a man started by being friendly "How are you today", but when his introductory spiel mentioned he d be asking questions to find my opinion, I interrupted him to say I don t do surveys. I have just had a call from this number, when I answered they called me by my first name, said where they were calling from and I said I have not been involved in any accident nor has any member of my family. He said that was fine & for me to have a nice day and a happy Xmas!! I have now blocked the number.
Fraud The person who called was a woman with a most peculiar accent. She claimed to be calling from Virgin Media. Not the first such fake call so I hung up.

She did give a company name but I couldn t get it. wouldn t say what it concerned just kept insisting on information regarding my number and my address.
