Someone called insisting to talk to the boss (they already knew his name, which is not difficult if you check companies house). They said they cannot even send an email with their name as it's confidential. It's about shareholding or whatever. I think they have been sending us mail as well.

Fraud This number is being used to ask for money from the people on my list and saying it's my new number. The thief put a picture of me on the cover of Whatsapp.
2 calls today and 1 yesterday from this number. When I answer, it s just a dead line. Have just bought a new car (yesterday)and my mobile is the contact number the dealer has (VERY few businesses have it), so I suspect it s related to my purchase - probably trying to sell me car insurance or extended warranty or something.

Safe number Is actually an Indian guy calling who refers you to O2 who sign you up for their Sim Only deal. Shame they have a dodgy-sounding Indian guy getting them customers, because it makes O2 look dodgy. FYI: I have received all genuine emails and contract info from O2 and... I received my SIM! 100% legit (apart from the guy calling millions of numbers from India hoping to get someone to say yes so he can earn his referral commission from O2!).

Recorded call that states there is urgent news about your pension bonus-how stupid do they think we are! I have had a number of these calls over the last couple of weeks. Received a call today from National Appliance Cover saying I had policy with them, taken out on their Join now pay later scheme. I have never agreed to having washing machine cover so know nothing of the policy. The caller said she was a policy advisor, I am eligible for a discount as I haven't made a claim. It is now to make payment - at the discounted amount, set up direct debit - not discounted, or cancel and pay a cancellation fee. I have never wanted the cover so why should I pay to cancel.
