Received a call from this 020 37270486, there was an automated message stating that the call is from HMRC and there was a fraud case linked to my name and if I didn’t press 1 to speak to an advisor I’d immediately go to jail. I then got connected to an advisor with non british accent that asked me my name, I was busy looking the number up online so told the person to hold the line and he hung up immediately. I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! scam asking me to pay HMRC £2000+ as I was late on my tax
This number rang today but hung up part way through the answerphone message. After reading comments here and elsewhere, I rang and asked for our number to be removed from their database. The guy I spoke to was happy to do this and also happy to tell me that the third party from whom they receive numbers is Communications Avenue. Looks like these are the people we should really be shutting down. A quick Googke shows that they re based in Newark.

Really shady caller office. Offering a job just to get personal details. Deal with caution. If asked to send and ID . blurr out the personal info (not more than they already have) . A quick track back showed multiple old computer network in the same building with VOIP setup in INDIA. A relay point in UK was found aswell (possibly a rented server) . I did enroll a local police force on the adress.
Twice this number has phoned. Don't know anyone in London, so I don't answer.
