an Asian man called me today earlier on this phone number offering me a loan for my tuition fees as i am paying my own fees. he called himself David if i remember right. I received a message off this number with a link attached saying they had a parcel for me when I clicked the link it said the adress label was damaged so I think this is some kind of scam as they don't know my adress,nobody has been to my home as I've been home and I've had this kind of message before just not sure if it's same number .

Lame sales call, claiming to work with BT Openreach. Considering that Openreach hasn t been called "BT Openreach" for several years, BT divested the company in March 2017. So, lame start to sales call. Then claims to save money on broadband and phone, I think we have all heard these claims.
A call to my mobile by a foreign sounding lady, obviously from a call centre as there was lots of background noise. She knew my name.

Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

I don't understand these numbers at all. There are two many for a normal STD followed by the number, but oversears calls have a different coding, so what is this?

Got a call from a "With-held" number, then minutes later got a call from the same company on this number saying "You have been selected to receive a discount..." I didn t let them get any further. These types of sales tactics are the lowest of the low methods of marketing and sales especially as my telephone number is registered with telephone preference!
