I received a call from this number a while ago. When I picked it up I heard "thanks for your patience you will be transferred to an agent now" and the call was terminated. I called them back and a woman answered hello this is consumer helpline, how can I help . She then started saying something about loans. I am applying to jobsites and apparently there is a connection between a jobsite and this call, as I ve read in other comments as well.
SCAM - called and telling me that my National Insurance Number has been compromised - when I asked this Indian accent men to verified his identity to me he hung up. Don't give them your details and tell them they will be reported to Police!

Press 1 to speak to the case officer (not going to happen!) or a warrant for my arrest would be issued if the call was not connected (yeah right!). Got a call from 0208 415 1292 claiming to be from HMRC with an automated message saying that I have tax evaded, without stating my name or anything, and the message carries on saying that they have a warrant on me :P honestly!?!?!?!?... they carry on asking me to press this and that button, which I didn't ofc... I hung up... Careful guys when you get calls from unknown people asking you to press this button or that, you may be giving way for hackers to clone your phone.
Fraud. Claimed to be from Amazon, calling due to a suspect transaction on my Amazon account (purchase of a phone for £400). Said they had sent an email and were chasing a response to it. When caller was told I didn't believe him, he became very rude. Politely suggested he go to hell.

Pretending to be lawyers who say I have a case of tax fraud against me. This was a very entertaining phone call as the man on the other line who went under the name of "Michael Jordan", not the basketball player, told me I must give him money or else I would be arrested in 30 minutes!! Thank you Mr. Jordan for giving me and my flatmate 40 minutes of laughs this morning.
