Just got a call from this number asking for someone with the correct surname and initial but different first name. I said they had the wrong number; she then asked me if we lived at an address that I d never heard of; I said no; so she asked me if we lived in an area without mains gas supply; I said no. She thanked me for my help, and that was it. I have no idea what it was all about???

Initially called in December about my Google ads but told them to call me back in Jan after I could assess situation. Did call back, nice polite guy but told him I did not need their services, he was disappointed but still polite! Website says based in Brighton but actually based in Pakistan.

The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. Obviously you were the ones they were looking for for them to steal your hard earned money from. Yet another fecking recorded caller in a robotic voice saying that " there has been a FRAUD ticket marked against you. If you do not press 1, then we will assume you want to be arrested and the police will come to your home and arrest you." Or something along those lines. Same crap, probably from the same office, same people (if you can call them that), on a different number. Just hang up on these wasters of Oxygen.
