Definitely spam. Claimed to be Amazon about a purchase valued at £790. I have NOT made such a purchase and I did NOT press 1 to speak to an Amazon representative.
Number 01665604816 seems to belong to a legitimate company, but the number is faked and displayed by thieves trying to access people's bank accounts with fake warnings about illegitimate payments from their account.
I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. My mother has been contacted many times on this and other phone numbers. The message, from the caller is always the same, she tells my mother, first in English and then in Chinese that she has a package waiting for her, to collect from the Chinese embassy. This is clearly a scam call.

Be careful dealing with this number. He is acting as a professional and will show a lot of fake proof for you to believe and get your trust. He is a very dangerous in person. I'm giving a serious warning to all girls, especially here in UK meeting with him. I hope nobody will be the next victim and suffer the same faith with me.

Claimed to be from RBS credit card fraud in relation to an SMS NHS Covid phishing attempt on my phone. Appeared plausible and had some detailed info on my account transactions, however, when calling the number on back of my card, they said they had no record of a call from RBS. Suspect they were trying to obtain additional information to also obtain on line banking log in.

Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number.
