I need to know if these people are scammers I I answered the phone and the lady called and said that it is regarding an insurance taken out on a television Three years ago.

They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. Calls to our (call screened, not on BT) number from 0800 044 5265. No message left, multiple attempts on multiple days. Calling that 0800 number says they are Stellar a partner of BT, and to call BT on 0800 028 2272. Don t bother if you aren t on BT. They ll tell you "you aren t on BT, we have no record of you!". Useless. A websearch for Stellar suggests 01294 225300. Calling that number: 1) they confirm the 0800 044 5265 caller ID is them calling on behalf of BT. 2) They ll remove our number from
