I think this is a scam number aiming to talk the vulnerable (ie people with debts) into giving out their bank details. I terminated the call as soon as they mentioned debts/creditors

Apparently a £300 transaction was taken out my account

They had the cheek to call me again - when I was busy of course - with their wretched recorded message saying it was not too late. I think they can be prosecuted for this harassment and dishonesty, pretending people have claims when they know nothing about whether they have or not, and be heavily fined. Be careful it is a scam! They say that they are from Scottish Power but after the call I called my energy supplier and the operator said me that this is a fake number
