They are scammers pretending to be Virgin media. They claim that your internet box has been compromised because of suspect malware and then pretend that they want to compensate you by putting money into your bank account, but really they try and take money out of your account. They are Asians and the number emanates from Orpington Kent.

HE THEN SAID OH THIS IS WHY IM CALLING YOU AS I wanted to know if you'd like to sell it!!! I told him I have never put it on market, DO NOT WANT to sell it and to remove my details from hiis database! Clearly a SCAM . NOT EVEN HAARTS PROPERTY TELEPHONE NUMBER!
Caller asked if they were speaking to my name . I refused to confirm they were and asked why they were calling so early. They said it was BT operations departme...
Two interruptions from this number today. This is a TPS registered domestic telephone number, but with no message left on my answerphone I can only assume it's spam or a scam.

Fraud - I was called off one number trying to get a security code that would reset my O2 account. when I refused to give the one time code to the lady she got aggressive. I said I would check with O2 customer service and if everything was ok would take up the offer. I was given this number as O2 customer services - IT IS NOT. I reported to O2 (202) and they confirmed that this was Fraud, and if I gave them the code they would have had access to my O2 account.

This number called me at 3.55pm on Wednesday 12th April 2023. Male Indian voice asked to speak to me by name. Obvious scam or nuisance call, so I just hung up.
I did not answer. They left no message. That's the 3rd number in 0330 818 xxxx calling me in the last 10 days.

Call centre - Asking about maintenance for living in a council house. I don't live in a council house so don't know how they got my number. After saying this, they politely ended the conversation. If you do live in a council house be cautious for what they are asking

Phoned me and played a computer recodred message which claimed to be from my card provider, without telling me who they were. Told me that there had been suspicious transactions on my account and tried to get me to speak to them. I hung up and checked with my bank who told me that nothing of the sort could have happened. Repeated phone calls, (within working hours). This business sells magazine deals/subscriptions - but if you buy once they don't stop phoning (unless you firmly say/threaten them a few times that you'll report them). They're not the worst by any means.
