SCAM Started with an automated message informing me that two transactions have taken place on a Visa debit card for varying amounts. Press "1" to approve, press "2" if I dont know. Pressed 2 out of curiosity and was transferred to a man asking for the reason of the call. I repeat the message I received and he then repeats the transaction amounts (obviously reading from a script). Asked him which bank this account was associated with (which he obviously doesn't know). SCAM call from a man with Asian accent who said he was BT Openreach. I asked him if there was a problem with my BT internet. He said yes, how did I know that? I said well why else would you be phoning me? He said it's been running very slow for the last few days to which I replied that it's come to a complete stop because I don't have BT internet. I then told him to do something that I won't repeat and hung up.

Calls to our (call screened, not on BT) number from 0800 044 5265. No message left, multiple attempts on multiple days. Calling that 0800 number says they are Stellar a partner of BT, and to call BT on 0800 028 2272. Don t bother if you aren t on BT. They ll tell you "you aren t on BT, we have no record of you!". Useless. A websearch for Stellar suggests 01294 225300. Calling that number: 1) they confirm the 0800 044 5265 caller ID is them calling on behalf of BT. 2) They ll remove our number from
I had a call off this number and asked for their complaints details. I emailed them at [email?protected] I just had to give them my name and number and they removed me straight away. I haven t had any calls since.
Had a call at approximately 11.10pm that sounded fraudulent. Have a close relative in hospital with a severe heart condition so have been waiting by the phone for urgent news of their status. We have never had a call of this nature on our landline or at this hour and due to the circumstances it has caused enormous and unnecessary distress. Overwhelmed as i write this.

Automated call Recieved a call from this number threatening it was a Fraud investigation giving me a reference number then directing me to press one to get through to an agent. If I hung up and ignored the call I may end up with a fine or court proceedings.no reference as to what the call was related to? Very strange and no reason why I would even recieve such a call. I ended call without proceeding but want others to watch out for such calls as the ber search brought up nothing in terms of an organisation

Recorded message "bank alert" from bank "technical department" Usual same male voice used regularly for these scams from various numbers. Total pain and regarded as harrassment,. Thery obviously think folk are stupid enough to respond by pressing button 2 - which only atkes you to a premium rate line from which the scammers make money. Five star bad.
