They tried to ask for more information, could barely describe who they were, was just banking on me trusting them since they knew my name, and when I asked they kept spelling it my name back and not answering any of my questions, got annoyed and hanged up before they tried to do anything else

Automated call supposedly from HMRC saying that my name had been linked to an HMRC scam
Same as others, I couldn t close the screen so I did control alt delete to get task manager and then closed Microsoft Edge which seems to have stopped it

The message claimed to be from NatWest asking me to call which I did. I was asked to hold for a good 5 minutes. I was asked for account number and sort code but not for any card details. They said they did not know why I had received the message. When I rang NatWest fraud number they said that this is NOT a genuine NatWest number. Nothing untoward appears to have happened on my account. I await my phone bill!

SCAM Number - Rang on my mobile, automated message from HMRC saying case against me. If I didn't press 1 to speak to an operator then a warrant would be issued for my arrest. Laughable really!
Told me they were calling as id applied for a loan which had been declined. I haven t applied for any loasns and she kept insisting I had but said she couldn t tell me where id applied due to confidentiality. In the process of buying a house and the only loan id applied for was a mortgage which is already in place so very disconcerting. When I tried to question her she tried to end the call. Clearly a scam.

Call center The guys represent themselves as being from the 3 promotions team. Although the number is a London number it would appear it is redirected from a foreign country as the language was not great and any question I asked was answered with a repeated line stating the deal they were offering and not actually answering my question. I can't recommend BT call guardian enough, free with a new handset so easy and avoids all these crap calls, I only ever check these numbers now after my phone displays they called but we're blocked ???? Best money you'll ever spend.

I had a call from a very polite man called John , he represented Honest Johns Roofing and Tiling. The lead off the roof of our church had been stolen, and had water pouring in constantly . He offered to re roof our church for ?13000, which i thought was reasonable , as we had ,had quotes in excess of ?40,000. He told me that he had just re roofed the Vatican after the Italian Mafia had stolen all the Popes lead to buy drugs with, and had been personally thanked by the pope , when he had an audience with him
