Mr Peter Johnson (Foreign Accent) Rang me and told me that my internet connection was slow. If i logged onto a site it could help speed it up. He was from BT Techical Help. Thing is i am not with BT and dont have Internet at the address that he rang me on! Numbers given me to ring as well were 0208 36 93 520 and 0137 54 12383

Called about energy supplier. Asked what she wanted.She said she was not selling anything but would not tell me why she phoned so I hung up.One of these nuisance calls!

Like the other contributors, this number called me, it rang on my mobile once and then they hung up - I won t be calling them back! Don t fall for their untrustworthy marketing ploy, just ignore them.

Asian sounding guy, rabbiting at speed about who I was and telling me my details, barely caught a word, then says BT will call to save me money on my Telephone and Broadband, then hung up immediately, never asked was I interested in any possible savings, not even the basic pleasantries of asking how I was etc... Just quick fire rabbit rabbit rabbit, BT will call me, click, all I can say is, if this was anything to do with BT, they are now less likely to be getting my business than they were before.

This is a very strong message concerning tax avoidance and tax fraud and that HMRC will issue an arrest warrant and take you to court - it gives the name Linda White from HMRC ...

recieved 20 calls from that number. they want to claim money back for you, from any old loans you have had.

Second time this idiot has rang same person asking for some bloke called Vedra or something I have told him that no such person has ever lived at this address. If he rings again...

Has rung me around 10 times in the last day, a couple of times I have answered and I the caller has hung up. I thing they are so used to people not answering, they are shocked when someone answers and he just hung up.

I received a call this morning which was very disturbing, i said hello, and the reply i got was "I m going to kill you" then hung up Really how bloody rude can you get??????????????? worth reporting to the police I think.

These people are a total nuisance. They are aggressive when they do speak and very rude. This number should be reported to Ofcom and Trading Standards. The more complaints made to the correct authorities the more chance these people will be dealt with.

They had the cheek to call me again - when I was busy of course - with their wretched recorded message saying it was not too late. I think they can be prosecuted for this harassment and dishonesty, pretending people have claims when they know nothing about whether they have or not, and be heavily fined. If they are, perhaps others will not follow their example. I do not worry for myself, but people who fall for their smooth talking. Didn t answer the call and came here to check the number. Lots of these apparently foreign numbers are actually originating in the UK by using software diallers that mask the caller s true location.As other posters suggest, a good rule of thumb is - if the number looks suspicious it probably is.
