Gave her name and the name of the company then said they were asking householders to take part in a survey, at which point I interrupted her with a two-word response. The thing is I m registered with the TPS and shouldn t receive calls like this.

they called my mobile today and hung up before I answered. I called back using my land line. A recorded message said "the call you received was a marketing call. we may or may not contact you again". I think they are just collecting real people telephone numbers to sell them on to other marketing companies. Don t do what I did because they now have both my mobile number and the land line number. Best thing to do is if you don t know the caller ignore them

"Brian" called from this number. He called me last week from a different mobile (which I blocked) introducing himself as "Barry". I recognised his voice and told him to jog on (words to that effect) so he didn t have the opportunity to tell me again that he was calling on behalf of a creditor who was threatening to take legal action regarding insufficient loan repayments. Called our company asking for the branch manager to carry out a survey on energy contracts & customer satisfaction. Told him it s all decided through head office so our branch manager wouldn t deal with it. He then asked if he could call back at a more convenient time, (obviously didn t listen to a word i d just told him!) at which point i told him no he couldn t call back at a more convenient time, no thank you & hung up on him. Logged him on our nuisance call list to be blocked by our telecoms company

Just had a call from this number claiming to be from my mobile provider. Very aggressive manner, extremely pushy, didn t ask if I had time to speak to them. Wanted to know how many mobile phones were used in my home: tempted to say 126 to annoy him, but quite frankly its none of his business. I am the contract holder and he should have my account information o hand if he is actually working for EE or Orange!!! If these calls don t stop I shall change provider!

Said someone owed me money!

9 calls in 2 weeks even with the number logged on the call blocker and they still get through with this irritating massage about a supposed SMS message which can’t be recovered. Whoever this is needs shooting ! I eventually called BT and asked them to block the number from ever reaching me.

tried selling me "extra good sim card", claiming to be from VM, didnt go through the tpical VM log in [you now enter various digits of passcode with keypad, NOT by voice], poor english, noisy line, they have phoned three times in the last two days from the same numer, I have now blocked their call.
