Spam caller claiming to be from Vodafone (my mobile contract isn't with Vodafone), wanting my bank details so they could apply a discount to my contract. Very persistent - when I told them I didn't know my postcode they called back the following night. Even provided me with a (mobile!) number I could call to check that they really were Vodafone.
Scam called, recorded message saying a letter had been returned from HMRC and I was under investigation.

This number called me today saying with an automated message that there was a fraudulent charge for a US gambling site and if I wanted to no more I was to press one. 100% SCAM DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS!!! The bank would never phone u with an automated call and not identify themselves and ask u to press numbers like this. This is so they can get access to ur details. These people r TOTAL SCUM. Claimed to be from the FCA about a frozen bit coin account. I challenged him to prove he was from the FCA and give me a number to call him back on. He didnt give me a number but tried to say he could prove he was from the FCA bu searching their site for a reference number - the ref number linked to a real person but not someone who worked for the FCA. I hung up and they dint call back - I called the number and it said it couldn't be connected - SCAM

This is British gas and they make appointments without asking you to install smart meters I went online and cancelled if you dont they will turn up and Ive read if you dont let them in or are out they will bill you for their time absolutely ridiculous

NB: WHY would a GLOBAL company be calling me from same Area Code!? Probably to panic people into giving out personal details (ie Bank info)!!! Called this morning, did not have my details but claimed to be from Openreach. Wanted to discuss my internet connection - I don't have one with Openreach. Do not give these guys any information, you will probably regret it.
This is a some sort of prank number. They do not speak then drop the call. Please arrest them and bring them to the nearest police station for questioning.
