I missed 8 calls from this number in the space of 10 mins! When I spotted the missed calls I called back(no voicemail messages had been recorded) I had assumed it was very urgent owing to the persistence of the caller - the number is not recognised. Updated: just picked up a call - it seems I d had an accident, couldn t help but play along .... after a while I added that I was a police officer (which I m not!) and the line went dead - how odd.

When I said that I already had it, the female caller responded that it was with them, and because I had not claimed for three years they we going to reduce it from the current £180.00. Scam calls usually related to Crypto. They generate new fake spoofed numbers (including this one), and call from UK, China, and other random countries. Previous owner of my phone number must have signed up on their website for information, but they have been calling me for over a year despite me saying its not the right person.

I answered this call and it was from a local O2 upgrades team. They explained they had my information as I had opted in to allow marketing calls from O2 but not 3rd parties. I ve since changed to opt out but did upgrade with them as they were very helpful and offered me a really good deal I couldn t get through my local store. Hope this helps others :-)

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.
