Claim to be from BT Openreach about issues with our router. Shame we’re not with that company. She kept insisting that even though we weren’t with them she needed to tell us about these issues with her router. When I challenged her about the fact that it was a scam and how could she live with herself and that BT had nothing to do with our router and couldn’t see our router she stuck to her guns that she was legit and needed to tell us what was happening with our router. I just hung up.

Almost certainly SPAM/SCAM as it called at the usual parasites'/pests' evening time, in this case 6.30pm. There was a suspicious pause & silence (auto-dialler?) when I answered and then the call was disconnected. I then rang back the number (03300270201) and got the following recorded message (female voice, American accent): "The number you have dialled is no longer in service. Fraud Diffrent accounts on Tinder and Whatsapp- different asian woman, probably personal data theft or/and SIM spoof.
I had my Call Blocker on so the caller was put through to my answerphone. The 'message' was just several seconds of a crackling/hissing noise, then the call terminated. This is the second call received from very similar numbers in the last few days, both numbers beginning with 0161 66. As my own number also begins with 0161 66, I suspect that someone is using similar numbers in the vain hope that I'll answer. I highly suspect that it was some sort of scam

The number has been used to call me a number of times at the same time daily. As the format is odd, it might well be spam. I know nobody in Dortmund
Received a suspicious call from this number claiming to be from EE. The caller had a strong Indian accent and asked for my account details. Immediately sensed a scam and hung up. Remember, never disclose your personal information to unsolicited calls.

SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.

When challenged they called back several times getting more condescending each time. We then phoned our actual cover provider and they confirmed it was a scam call. DANGEROUS.
